How it works
MyOldtimer is a sharing platform for vehicles. The vehicles are entered and edited by the users themselves. Each user has a user login. The bookings take place online. A chat function allows renters and hires to exchange information. Availability can be managed in the vehicle profile. You will be continuously informed via e-mail notifications as soon as something happens.
Good to know
- If your vehicle has a Swiss licence plate and you are resident in Switzerland, the MyOldtimer-Baloise insurance solution of Baloise Insurance Ltd will automatically take effect during the rental period for the self-drive category. (For veteran: check if commercial use is allowed). Your vehicle is fully insured during the rental period (comprehensive cover, liability recourse and bonus protection) and you do not pay any additional premium for the rental with your existing insurance policy. Check your vehicle regularly for roadworthiness and a maintained condition.
- If your vehicle is covered by the MyOldtimer-Baloise insurance solution, the renter will receive the confirmation of insurance as an attachment to the rental agreement e-mail. The renter pays the insurance premium. Although the MyOldtimer-Baloise insurance solution insures your vehicle against theft and embezzlement in accordance with the criminal law, we recommend that you enter 178* "Change of owner prohibited" in the vehicle registration document and, if necessary, install a GPS tracker.
- The deposit should at least correspond to the deductible of the insurance. The deductible of the MyOldtimer-Baloise insurance is 1'000.- CHF. Remember that you declare and tax the rental income yourself.
